The challenge
There are regions on all continents where terrestrial telecommunications are non-existent. Currently, 90% of the earth surface is not covered by GSM infrastructure. Mobile satellite communications ensure connectivity when terrestrial connections are down or non-existent.
We are introducing a new easy way for users in remote zones to communicate with their environment (families, colleagues or friends), using the satellite devices that they already have. Our clients live, travel and work in remote areas with no GSM coverage, where safety is essential and communication capacity is a basic need.
Targeted Markets: Humanitarian Aid, Media, Adventure, Oil & Energy, Mining & Construction, Maritime, Security Companies.
The solution
Our Solution brings big benefits to its users' lives, work and businesses in Europe and worldwide, forming an important tool for locating people in distress, sharing locations, improving quality of life and provides a fast, reliable service, reduce communication costs, help users share information with interpersonal communications.
The diversity of mobile satellite communications is growing and moving towards designs that are similar to smartphones. Today's satellite phones are lighter, smaller and have more features. Industry is highly concentrated. 90% of its turnover is shared between three main operators: Inmarsat, Iridium and Thuraya. When operators completed the new generation of MSS satellite systems there will be new products and improved services. Today are around 4,5 million handheld terminals, which will grow to 20 million by 2024
