The challenge
The idea is to develop a set of management services able to support land decision making based on the main principles of business intelligence through satellite technology for Earth observation, standardization and data reconciliation services, data mining/fusion for an efficient tax recovery, fair share of taxes while safeguarding of the territory and improving sustainable development;UrbyetOrbit developing a Technological Cloud Platform of data mining to manage in an efficient and cost-effective way territorial and informational resources of most of the 8000 Italian Municipalities.
The solution
The platform is based on a module of "satellite monitoring" for the detection of land use changes. The solution will be able to detect (Change Detection) environmental or property variations (ghost buildings) historicizing satellite images and comparing them with cartographic databases (Land Revenue Agency - Regional Technical Map- Istat Sections, or any other geographical data map).
